What is geocaching?

Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game with a gps.

Geocaching can be a lot of different things to a lot of different people.

For me being somewhat of a techie, it meant bringing electronics to the outdoors. I have always loved the outdoors and searching for those places that haven’t been well traveled or finding those little places that I would never have seen otherwise. It’s the adventure and the technology that has lead me there. The sense of awww with the find and moving onto the next awww. The slight adrenalin rush that sometimes is apparent when you know you are close. All of this wrapped into one and moving onto the next for the next rush.

GeoSwamp – What?

GeoSwamp is a new website being created by Swamper68. Slowly but surely I am going to be adding new content to the site related to Geocaching. They might be from my adventures, new and cool stuff I have found, or just plain nonsense to bide my time!

You may have seen some tweets or Facebook messages that have led you here. Even though we aren’t quite ready to go live and public with the site, please feel free to follow our Twitter account or start liking our FaceBook group. All the tools you need are right over there to your right!

In the meantime we are getting geared up to start adding new categories, content, images and just about anything you can think of Geocaching related.
